Driver Door Module Volvo Dealer

Ok i posted about a week ago the issue with the window switches,door locks not working on our 2008 v70. I had it to an independent shop to have a look.

He did have a computer that was able to communicate with the car. He also noted that the outside temp gauge was reading -9! Network Drivers For Acer Aspire E15. The computer said door module not responding.

He said that the module would be expensive and that a volvo dealer needed to install it(software). I was doing research and found simular problems with other volvos. The others had the same stuff going on, no power going to door outside temp malfunction. The issue was something to do with corrosion and wiring harness going to the module being bad.

All - Thought this recap might come in handy to some who will (inevitably) face the same issue. 2005 XC70 w/115k. Sometime in the late Summer, my driver's side window, locks, mirrors, and power locking mechanisms all failed. I figured it was the Driver's Door Module, which the dealer confirmed with VIDA. Open the fusebox cover on the driver's side of the dash facing the door. Open the affected window, and while the window is moving down, remove the fuse for the door module. Worked and saved me a BS $500 repair the Volvo dealership's service department said I needed on my door control unit.

Anyone know anything? I had zero responses from first post.

Something is up with the drivers door module. When I shut off the motor and exit the vehicle, about 30 seconds later a ticking noise starts to come from the drivers door.around the height of where the door module is. If I stay inside the car and press and hold any PW or PL buttons down, the noise stops. A couple of times the controls have stopped working all together -no window control, no power lock control and the lights in the buttons are off. If I pull the fuse for the module and put it back, all power to the module is restored. Download Video Ss501 Love Like This 3gp. Anyone experience this?

I'm starting to think I need to replace the entire module unless someone can tell me if it's serviceable. Any idea how much this part is going to cost at Volvo?
