Ps3 Jailbreak Dongle Files
It seems multiple people have known about the vulnerabilities used to create the modchip for a while now. Some of these folks started speaking out on scene website psxhax, in a glorious display of typical scene drama. In particular, one user Freeplex says the Chinese groups behind the PS4 MTX got the modchip designs from him, and started reselling those without his consent. As a retaliation, he claims he has shared the details of the vulnerability with Sony’s security team, which if true would ensure the device will be blocked in the next firmware update.
(not to mention, independently of that,, that Sony will be monitoring suspicious activity on PSN account and close those suspected of piracy. There’s no need for any leak to their security team for this to happen). To add to the drama, it appears that Freeplex had actually received knowledge of the vulnerability and information on how to build the modchip from other groups, and was himself trying to sell these modchips at the much higher price point of $5000. References to Freeplex’s own little modchip business can be found back as far as 2015. I’ll just leave this here before any more people get ripped off by the Chinese folks. You indeed only need a single chip (yeah just 1 of those units is enough to pirate on multiple cons). It works as a flasher/programmer which backs up the activation info and then mirrors it back into your ps4’s nor.
Since, apparently the syscon verification occurs on power cycle, in-circuit flashing does the trick just fine. After this stage has been completed you’re all good to go — you can now desolder the chip and proceed wiring it up to the next victim->repeat this as many times as you want until it inevitably gets patched. Apart from making the Chinese sellers rich, the only reason why you would want to get a few of those ‘modchips’ is convenience. If you fudge something up i.e. Go-online(—yeah no-online play on this pos)->forget about it or all your shared games get locked. Anyway, in this case, provided you’ve soldered a chip to each cloned ps4 and the trick still hasn’t been patched (highly unlikely), you simply won’t have to take your consoles apart again to re-solder the chip. Just follow the tutorial and use those 2 buttons —>bingo, no locks again.
Again, the Chinese have no idea what they are talking about they just want to push more units. You can try blocking certain addresses in your router and risk playing online, but just remember Sony ain’t fools. So unless you’re fully aware of what you are doing before you even attempt to do something to your ps4 and invest your hard earned cash into this lame piracy technique, consider this: –Sony have patched several prev. Iterations of this trick, in fact this chip is most likely DOA now that the info has been leaked and the steps are out in the wild. –If you (de)activate too many times or multiple people show up online with the same master profile, this activity will be logged and it will look suspicious. Potentially, both your main psn profile will most likely get flagged and all ps4’s ever associated with it will potentially get banned either.

–In many places piracy is also illegal, you can even face legal problems. (My dad, for example, got a 1 year suspended sentence for running a cardsharing server.) The Chinese, of course, will try their best to keep you in the dark about all this, they don’t want you to know you just need 1 chip for all your consoles. And they want you all hyped up about it and make you believe this trick is a big deal to make more money. It’s just pure marketing talk, while in reality this chip may turn out to be a useless piece of junk before it even arrives at your doorstep. TL;DR Buy 1 chip and use brain. On a side note, GaryEdmunds, also a long time user on the scene, mentions the modchip designs might have been “stolen” by hardware mods guru Max Louarn (who has been involved with console hardware mods for as long as there has been consoles, and among other things created scene site MaxConsole and owns Divineo, a console hardware mods company that has been sued multiple times by console manufacturers such as Nintendo – for NDS cartridges – and Sony).
GaryEdmunds claims he will be sharing the designs of the modchip to thwart Max Louarn’s attempt at profiting from the scheme. See below, emphasis mine ().
The person behind the stealing of your work freeplex is Max Louarn this is nothing to do with Paul Owen as Paul Owen has left the modscene long time ago and sold his interest in Xecuter website to Max. Paul Owen is currently involved in Cronusmax and no other console mods.
Just as a little bonus as Max tried to steal from me a long time ago I have the gerber files and other files for this clone chip and I will release them free to the world on the day the first modshop that is aligned with Max has them in stock to ship. It is worth mentioning that none of the statements above can be fully verified or trusted given that we were not able to verify the actual involvement of these posters with the modchip.
Nevertheless, it seems pretty clear now that the PS4 MTX modchip could have a very short shelf life and end up patched as soon as it reaches the market, and also potentially become open source pretty quickly. This kind of things are for sure not done “just for knowledge”. When grieving gets in the middle and profit is the goal, everyone try to wash their hands.
This is not the best reference for a scene and those involved on, can’t be called sceners, but just pesky scumbags. I’m glad the 3DS and Vita scene are not like that (can’t talk about the XBOX scene as I’m not interested on it in any way), hope new people get involved into PS3/PS4 scene and do things better.
The knowledge is there but sadly not many can’t call it theirs’.

As often, the official changelog hasn’t been giving much details besides the typical “improves the quality of the system performance”. Well, at least it’s not a stability update, so there’s that? Of course, what it probably means is an attempt to patch some security holes in the firmware. Hacker, who has been front left and right of the scene lately as he released a (then stated he has a ),: “sony updated webkit enough for fun stuff to be doable”.
In a tweet a few weeks ago, he had mentioned that he was in possession of some recent Webkit exploits that wouldn’t work on PS4 because PS4’s version of Webkit was too old. It sounds to me that his statement today directly relates to that old tweet. Not much is known on PS4 Firmware update 4.55 at this point. Qwertyoruiop has not clarified if his 4.50 Kernel Exploit still works on firmware 4.55 (although this is likely, given how recent that kernel exploit is, and assuming nothing’s leaked. In my experience, it’s unlikely Sony would patch a kernel exploit and release an update that fast). Program: Configuration Manager 0.20 Original Release Date: March 18, 2017 Author: ‘DeViL303’ Source: Download: Quote via post: • Added confirmation dialogue for copy operations.
• Added xRegistry Switcher. • Added ability to backup boot_plugins.txt and xRegistry.sys to the different slots. Maybe this will be useful, maybe not, you can have a few different system setting configurations and switch between them easily and quickly, you can even have extra users on 1 xreg, and switch back to stop them from showing on the XMB and stuff like that. *You will need to add the category xmls again as the path has changed (xmls are included in zip), If you have v0.10 installed you can remove the files via game data utility if you want.
I might add the ability to switch more files to this, any ideas? XMBM+ 2K17 is just yet another unofficial fork of XMB Manager Plus made by whole Team XMBM+ years ago and later modded by Aldostools. What’s different in 2017 release?
I have corrected, added or updated some descriptions, changed positions of some menus. All icons (except save data icons) is now read from dev_hdd0 instead of RCO from dev_flash and all of them is “rebugified” to match Rebugification PlayStation 3 theme (but any other skin like i.e Metalification can be easily add in future). Also I have integrated Custom Firmware Tools, WebMAN/WebMAN Mod settings menu from full versions, Plugin Switcher Manager (with few pre-configurations) and XMB Package Downloader (but in “mini version”: no themes, wallpapers and game links, no per app icon). I have removed all old internet website links and added Childproof Mode option which disabling any potentially harmful options. >What is Childproof Mode?

User must have installed and active WebMAN or WebMAN Mod for some of the options (all for WebMAN menu, Plugin Switcher Manager, XMB Package Downloader and few in other places). Also Custom Firmware Tools must be active (turn it on in Rebug Toolbox on Rebug CFW or add custom xai_plugin to boot_plugins.txt). Without it, almost all options in Custom Firmware Tools will not be working, resulting in console forced restart + mandatory file system checking/repairing. >No PKG file?
How can I install this? I don’t like PKG format and in this case is even completely useless. It’s sufficient to use file manager or FTP client.
Copy “xmb” folder info “dev_hdd0/”. Be sure to have installed and active xai_plugin and webmanmod.

PS4 Cyber Save Editor 4.50 Bypass Tutorial by Niohjapan – via Yesterday we saw a, and today I posted this tutorial over on and also below for those interested here. Like many of you guys out there, I too was extremely disappointed in learning that the recent save editor released by Cyber Gadget was in the latest. I did some examining of what exactly happens when you copy a save from a 4.50 system. Basically two errors occur. If you the save you are using is on a lower FW than 4.50 (backup from a USB, or off the Internet) the system won’t allow you to copy it onto itself or use it unless the original from the console itself it up-to-date and then copied over. And if you copy a save from 4.50 onto a USB drive it appears as corrupted on a firmware below it.
So this gave me an idea, what if the system update isn’t exactly the one that’s preventing the save from not working? After some testing, I have concluded that the latest Firmware introduced a save patching system that only gets applied during USB Copying. Notice the key here is USB COPYING, meaning I have found a bypass to this. *Down below you will find a guide that will allow you to continue to use the save Editor, but to keep in mind this will only be available to a limited amount of users due to the process of achieving it. Requirements: • • TWO PS4 *This right here is where I said it would be limited to how many people can actually do this, though if you have been following the scene you may already have two consoles. I had my PRo on 4.50, and my old one on 4.07 • PlayStation Plus THIS IS A REQUIREMENT So how does this work? Well after you have followed the PSProxy guide above, you will have your lower FW console that is capable with the save editor being able to go online.
You can’t download games unless you turn the proxy off, but you can however UPLOAD TO THE CLOUD. This is where the bypass takes place, and why it lead me to believe that Sony placed a patcher during the USB copying process. Because you are uploading the gamesave into the cloud it doens’t go through this process at all, meaning after doing testing with various titles, gamesaves from 4.07 work and run perfectly fine on a console that is running on 4.50 when it copies the gamesave VIA Cloud storage.* This also works vice-versa, so copying a save from 4.50 onto cloud storage adn then downloading it onto 4.07 from cloud storage works. There’s no Firmware issues whatsoever.* HOWEVER, you do have to make sure that whatever version of X game is the same game patch (not system fw) version on both consoles. So, if you have say patch 1.05 of (random example) Call of duty on 4.50, you do have to make sure it’s the same game patch firmware on the lower PS4 FW console.
IDK if this applies to all games, but some games make saves incapable if the game versions are different. I have yet to try Cyber Save Editor, but there is ZERO reasons why this wouldn’t work This part I leave to developers, or someone with more Knowledge. If someone who knows anything about exploits and such, you may want to look at a gamesave pre-4.50 (before you upload it onto the cloud) and then after 4.50 (download it from the cloud, then copy onto a USB). You may find something useful in there, or you might now. Just my suggestion Here are two game saves, one on 4.07 before the cloud upload, the second one on 4.50 after the cloud upload and then patched VIA USB 4.50 feature: my hopes are someone can find use to these and maybe build a new save editor Download. Program: OpenPS3FTP – Version 4.2-PRX Update 2 Original Release Date: March 03, 2017 Author: ‘jjolano’ Source: Download: Quote via repository: Version 4.2-PRX Update 2 • Fixed more crashes and the SITE command.
Also fixed a (very small) memory leak when connecting and disconnecting multiple times. • Additionally, the server will minimize memory usage when it is not active. • Almost stable Since services like FTP are probably better suited to run in the background, here’s a VSH plugin. The whole thing needed to be rewritten (again) in C, but it mainly follows the C++ codebase, so there’s still the great stability and performance that standalone version 4.2 brings – notably the 10+ simultaneous connection stability. Additionally, this plugin provides an interface for other VSH plugins to add their own commands! Simply link your project to the sprx stub along with the header file. Currently, this is experimental – but tested to be working.
An example proof-of-concept is included. This requires the main plugin to be loaded first. The only issue is that the plugins MUST unregister their commands and be unloaded first, otherwise the console will hang on shutdown endlessly. Since I’m still new to the SPRX game, this is being marked as pre-release or beta. Do expect crashes, but from my own testing, it works.
Included files: • openps3ftp.sprx: main FTP server plugin. Make sure other FTP daemons are disabled (or on a different port) such as webMAN. • openps3ftp_prx_test.sprx: plugin interface tester. This injects a command called “TEST” which calls syscall 496 ( sys_prx_get_module_id_by_name) and takes in a parameter. Article Title: PS4 4.50 Hack Rumor Original Release Date: Feb 15th.
2017 Author: Wololo Source: Quote via WOLOLO: User racer0018 on scene website psxhax claims that he is in contact with a group of hackers working on PS4 exploits. The hackers allegedly are working on an exploit that works on the still-in-beta PS4 firmware 4.50. Has PS4 4.50 already been hacked? According to racer0018, the group has been looking for beta testers, who are comfortable with soldering a device on their PS4, with the potential risk of a brick. Additionally, candidates for the beta-tester position need to have a PS4 running the latest PS4 firmware, firmware 4.50, which is still in beta. Racer0018 states: Now what will be needed from this person.
There is a couple of things that will be needed. 1st we will send you a device that has to be soldered onto the system, this will be done in 14 wires that is soldered onto the machine and then hooked to a USB cable to a computer.
We will also send you a program in python that has to be ran on the computer during this test. It will then run and will make a log file for that program on your computer and then you take and send that log file to the email we provide and that is about it. There are lots of red flags with this announce. First of all, racer0018 himself. He’s a veteran of the PS3 scene with a. The scener used to provide hardware mods for the PS3, with mixed satisfaction results from his customers. Some at the time would only go to him, praising the quality of his work, others felt they were cheated and never got their console back.
It’s undeniable racer0018 has some hardware knowledge of the PS3 and the PS4, which could have given him the right connections. But none of his work has been ever connected to groundbreaking discoveries, racer I see it as a successful implementation of actual hackers’ work. Secondly, the site he chose to make his announce. Shortcut Romeo Full Movie Download In 300mb on this page.
I hate to point fingers at other scene sites, but psxhax is one of the sites that always leaves me confused: these guys know what they are talking about to some extent, yet they also don’t hesitate to spread unverified rumors or complete lies without blinking. I’ve, and have yet to see any improvement on their end. I have to assume nobody even tried to get some proof from racer00188 or from the hacking group he is in touch with. I’d love to be proven wrong, of course. Psxhax is also owned by the same people who own ps3news dot com, a site infamously known for the poor quality of its articles regarding the PS3 scene back in the days.
Last but not least, in my experience, legit hackers do not randomly ask for beta testers on a public forum. The people who can exploit consoles also typically know enough trusted people for their tests that they do not need to ask publicly for help. They also usually already have access to most of the hardware needed to perform their test, either directly or through their contacts. So, we have a scener with a mixed track record, making a claim of an upcoming PS4 hack without a single proof, on a site with a mixed track record. Don’t get me wrong, again, I’d love to be proven wrong (I have a PS4 phat that’s been sitting on firmware 4.05 for a few months now, waiting for some public hack), but for now I’d qualify this as highly dubious at best. Besides the claim of a PS4 hack, racer0018 states that people who join the team as beta testers would gain access to a private server containing information on Wii U and Xbox One hacks as well. Racer0018 had already said on the same site, 2 months ago, that the Xbox One was getting close to being hacked.
Of course feel free to get in touch with them and see if you can get in, but if anything I would advise to proceed carefully with anyone who asks you to provide them with anything coming from your PS4, in particular logs. Sony have a bad history of putting credentials and other critical information unencrypted on their systems. We have contacted the owners of psxhax on social media asking for some kind of proof. I will update this article if they get back to us.
Whether this turns out to be true or false, we’ll keep our page up to date. Article Title: PS4 Jailbreak 2017: Update Original Release Date: Feb 4th. 2017 Author: Wololo Source: Quote via WOLOLO: 2017 has been here for a few weeks now, and it’s high time we did a recap of the PS4 Jailbreak scene. So far in 2017, PS4 Jailbreaks have been confirmed to work up to firmware 4.05 included. However, nothing has been publicly released for 4.xx firmwares. The latest firmware that has been publicly hacked is firmware 1.76.
In other words, if you want to Jailbreak your PS4 in 2017, you’ll need to get your hands on a PS4 running firmware 1.76, or be extremely well connected with the hackers who have access to the 4.05 jailbreak. As for firmware 4.07, the latest at the time of this writing, nothing’s even been publicly demonstrated at the moment. Once again, we need to warn people against scammy websites that promise a 4.07 PS4 Jailbreak: typically these sites will ask you to fill a survey in order to download the “Jailbreak”.
If you’re lucky to not get a virus in the process, we can guarantee with 100% accuracy that the file you download will not be a 4.07 PS4 Jailbreak. You will, however, have made the owners of the website rich during the process of answering surveys for which they get paid. If you are running firmware 1.76 or lower Congratulations. Your PS4 is Jailbreakable.
But, honestly, if you own a PS4 at such a low firmware, you already knew that, didn’t you? You can run unsigned code on your PS4 through the dlclose exploit, and this includes running cool stuff such as Linux. If you are running firmware 4.05 or lower Hang in there! Several hacking groups have confirmed they have access to a 4.05 PS4 Jailbreak, including,, and. That’s good news.
The bad news is that none of them have announced they would release anything. With the first official demonstration of a Jailbreak done in October last year, the chances seem to be slimming down that we’ll actually see a release. I was honestly thinking something would have leaked by now. Nevertheless, keeping your PS4 on 4.05 or lower is your best bet at the moment. What I’ve personally done is buy a, and keep my PS4 Phat on firmware 4.05 (it is now collecting dust until a hack surfaces publicly).
If you are running firmware 4.06 or higher Nothing’s been announced or hinted at for these firmwares at the moment. The best thing you can do for yourself is avoid scammy websites that pretend they have a PS4 Jailbreak for you., and they all use the same techniques. Spread the word. If you’re thinking of buying a secondary purposes, you can get an (expensive) console running on firmware 1.76, or get either or which as of January 2017 are pretty much guaranteed to come with firmwares lower than 4.05.
Note that this doesn’t mean you will be able to hack them right away (see the “4.05 or below” section above) What about a downgrade? There is no known technique to downgrade a PS4. Technically, if a downgrade was doable nowadays on a given firmware, it would pretty much imply kernel access, meaning the console would be hackable anyway.
In other words, if a downgrade was possible on your PS4, you would actually not need it. For more details on the latest status of PS4 Jailbreaks, check our. Article Title: Reports of a 4.07 PS4 Hardware Hack – Truth or Sham? Original Release Date: Jan 12th. 2017 Author: Wololo Source: Quote via WOLOLO: Hacking scene member published a couple of pictures claiming he has a PS4 Hardware hack that works on the PS4’s latest firmware 4.07.
Although he gave few details, the hack allegedly allows to bypass Serial number checks on the Flash memory and the HDD of the PS4. According to xmax katsu, this allows unlimited Primary account share on the PS4.
In other words, one account could buy lots of PS4 games, then share this account (and the games associated to it) with an unlimited amount of “Friends”. Account sharing tricks to enable piracy are not new and seem to be the only way to pirate games on the latest generation of consoles. This is reminiscent of the “” or the ““, two techniques that allow a given account (and its games) to be shared more than officially allowed by Sony and Microsoft. “Entrepreneurs” across the globe monetize these techniques by selling consoles full of pirated games to their customers.
However, it is difficult to give any credibility to xmax katsu’s work lately. He has been very silent on twitter over the past months, and before that has a track record of various claims for hacks that or turned out to. Here again, the picture could be an elaborate hoax, or the hacker drawing conclusions too soon on some actual technical achievement (e.g.
It is possible he has a way to bypass some serial number checks, but that he wrongly implies this could lead to infinite account sharing). It would of course also be naive to think Sony do not monitor accounts with suspicious activity. Here again, unless you’re prepared to disconnect your PS4 from the network entirely, pirating would seem unwise, even if that technique actually works and gets released. (these two things already being a stretch).
