I like LoTRO graphics. I think there's even an overwork on the graphic area since Rohan, because older regions are beutiful in his own right but still performance friendly. The graphics in later areas are overkill for the game engine. I would prefer better performance over lots of grass or a slight increase in graphics. I think devs should make new zones like the old zones, so the engine could handle them properly, or update the engine. The ever decreasing performance of LotRO after each new update would end up killing the game, it's a ball of snow that keeps getting bigger and bigger. Actually I've just been looking at 'new' games and they are not as they claim to be on PC They have lots of textures and they are then repeated all over - even thought they texture odd meshes. In Lotro they tend to use a diff method - a new item has a knew texture because it needs to.

THe only reason a Windows box would struggle with an Xbox 1 game that's cross platform is because it's got inferior hardware to an Xbox 1. The Xbox 360 is a bit of a black sheep because it's actually a PowerPC Mac in Xbox clothing.

And it isn't designed to have barbiedoll Sims 3 graphics either. I like the realism of LOTRO's graphics and I feel like I'm in a fantasy game, and not just any fantasy game but Middle-Earth. It looks and feels exactly how I would have imagined and would not want it any better. Going back and revamping the Gondor cities to use different models that combine several of their individual models into something bigger would go miles towards helping to reduce the memory footprint of the Gondorian cities, plus give them a solid graphical upgrade. Take a bit from this, a bit from that, throw it together, bam. A bit like a programming collage. I used to do some minor modding for Sims 2 and that's what a lot of modders do. They take the pre-existing stuff, put bits together, maybe come up with a new piece from time to time when pre-existing bits don't do what they want, but that's about it. Sims 3 definitely has a problem with some stuff. There's one map that has NPCs whose pathing is so botched that they get stuck in an infinite loop (well away from the sims you are controlling) and it bogs the map down. I like LoTRO graphics.
